So I'm pretty broke, but I mean that's why we drive sonics lmao. I do love my little sonic though. I have a little build list in mind but I would like some opinions on it. It'll be a budget build so I want it to be as cheap as possible. I'm aiming for 180-200hp at the end of it, but I also want to hit all the reliability parts first.
1. PCV fix kit, port the intake while it's off. https://cruzekits.com/shop/ols/products/v3-gm-14l-turbo-luvluj-pcv-check-valve-fix-kit
2. New turbo oil feed line, try to find some way to heat shield it. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...ged,3438966,engine,turbocharger+oil+line,5765
3. Cold air intake, I'm thinking something like this, but want to go cheaper if possible https://www.summitracing.com/parts/inj-sp7036blk/make/chevrolet/model/sonic
4. Intercooler w/ no charge pipes, I don't think they really NEED to be replaced, just look better. May be wrong on that. https://zzperformance.com/products/sonic-front-mount-intercooler?_pos=31&_sid=2e8b36488&_ss=r
5. E85 Conversion kit & 42lb injectors, cheaper gas more blast baby! https://zzperformance.com/products/bosch-green-giant-42-injectors-4, https://racerxfabrication.com/sonic/fuel/flex-fuel-kit
6. The E85 is the first mod that you HAVE to get a tune for, mainly because the bigger injectors. So also a BNR tune, should be like 200$ after you return the interface. https://store.badnewsracing.net/BNR-Tune-2012-Chevrolet-Sonic-14L-Turbo_p_294.html.
6.1 some optional parts I'm thinking of doing
Wastegate actuator https://www.modernperformance.com/product/2498/12-20-sonic-turbo-upgrades-and-accessories, Diverter valve https://www.modernperformance.com/product/1380/12-20-sonic-turbo-upgrades-and-accessories.
All in all, the total price excluding the optional parts is $1305.33 so any criticism is encouraged because this isn't set in stone yet. Let me know how I can get it cheaper. Thanks!
