I've got 165k on my 2012 turbo and last year my transmission ate itself with the bad bearing issue. Had it replaced with a 77k mile trans and had a new slave cylinder put in+clutch. Its been fine for like 15k miles and now I'm having clutch pressure issues. Variably soft clutch pedal, worse when its cold, what I read online points to a bad clutch master. Its a tiny little $65 part by the brake distribution block.
Anyone have experience changing one of these? It doesn't look too bad but csmans claims you have to remove the whole pedal assembly to do it? Is that true? It looks like I can access the 2 screws/bolts holding it in, in the footwell, and the clip attaching it to the pedal, without doing that? Would I really have to pull the dash apart, the steering column, just for this cheap little part???
