This will be my final post on these forums. After a little research I discovered Eric sells "The Trifecta Tune" he so avidly sells on this forum. I don't like the idea of thinking I'm talking with everyday Joe's that just enjoys modding their cars. I always felt Eric was pushing the trifecta rather hard. Now I realize why every mod is rendered useless according to him without a tune.

I think most know Eric is a reseller. I believe he was a customer first and loved the tune and other products. He does have inside information that he shares, and I for 1 appreciate that. So far I have only purchased a tune, stock otherwise. I can't say enough about how much of a difference it made on the 1.4 Turbo....It's night and day.
I believe what is stated about the tune being important to take advantage of some mods (Intake/Exhaust). I take input from everyone but in the end make my own decision. I wasn't going go get a tune when I joined the site, but boy am I glad I did.

Everyone here will tell you the tune is the best thing you can get, that won't be limited to only those who sell it. Eric's main sticking point is that in order to benefit the most from any engine performance enhancing mod you will need the tune. Most people will overlook throttle response and throttle smoothing as a benefit to having an intake/exhaust with or without a tune. That isn't a primary reason to do either, it's just another benefit.

It has been a known fact that Eric is a reseller for quite some time now, he only passes information about this tuning solution (BNR owns the Trifecta Sales here) and if you think that there is any other way to get the power out of your car without a tune good luck and lets see some dyno's to show us differently and I think you might see the thought process change with proof. Until then mod's are rendered completely useless, you get the intake sound with an intake and exhaust sound with an exhaust. BUT! The computer has a predetermined power output which anything done will be learned down. This is well known and not a secret and if you want to keep the small gains for the intake and exhaust just keep pulling the battery cable on your car every couple of days to kill the adaptives.

Not sure I will miss you and a SONIC OWNERS forum that's chocked full of vendors passing themselves as owners and HIGHLY pushing a product that supposedly makes all the difference in the world.
I'ts not that I don't believe a tune wouldn't be slightly beneficial, it's that certain members goals are to coercive ignorant people into thinking that exhaust and intakes mods are completely a waste of time without buying the tune. Would a tune enhance those mods? Not saying they wouldn't.
Show me the dynos from an independent source. Not a dyno from salesman that push a product they want you to purchase. If my being upset about being surrounded by biased members that are unknowingly to me, salesmen and you respond to this with an attacking post then I have to ask...what are you selling here?
So you became a dealer just to loan the cable to owners in El Paso...

It's pretty complicated, and I don't completely understand it, but basically the engine uses airflow and fuel somethings to produce crankshaft horsepower numbers.
Scott- you need to calm down. you can leave, we don't care, but you're complaining over nothing. the tune doesn't make a slight difference, it makes a dramatic difference. rdss sells nothing. How is your car doing? I've got 26,xxx miles on mine. You can check the forum and call me a vendor all you want, but you're the only one making a stink here, and it's not even a good reason.
And there is no coercing here. Intakes and exhausts will not increase power with a tune. You can be a whiny twat all you want, but it doesn't matter if it's a trifecta tune, VTuner, HPTuners, etc. You need a tune to get power out of them.

rdss is not a vendor, dealer, or distributor. He's serving in the US Navy stationed in most likely Jacksonville.
I'm certain you have the wrong idea about this forum. It is not all vendors pushing products. You're not forced to buy anything anyway, so what would it matter? Think for yourself, do your own research, and if you feel that someone is putting out bad information then call them on it. It is a "forum" and its purpose is discussion. That is my observation from 3 months of perusing this board. The moderating is relaxed and generally everyone is pretty good.
