Ported the intake manifold

Well finally ported it. It runs perfectly fine on a stock sonic. No problems. The first thing I noticed was how much smoother it was, specially around 5 and 6k and how it seemed to help the turbo out. Just ordered a trifecta tune and now I just have to wait for my tune to get emailed to me!

Glad it worked out good for ya, did you use the DIY thats on the forum? If so you have any tips or tricks to add to it? Once ya get the tune tell us how big your smile is lol

I used the DIY that's on this forum. Spot on. There is one thing that was annoying though. GM basically zip tied some cables to the back of the manifold. It was a pain to get back there to cut them.

Also, did you reuse any gaskets? According to gm you're supposed to replace the intake manifold gaskets after removal. I'd say if you're low miles you can get away without

If you're still running the stock MAF tube you shouldn't have to worry about the "modded" intake. It's still metering the factory spec of air past the sensor.

The maf tube is the only factory piece of my intake. I was just skeptical about changing up that much unadjusted

I don't think so but many have said it doesn't fall on its face in the top end like it does stock.

I have an Injen intake installed. No codes or problems when I ported the intake manifold.
