Wheels, offset , etc

I saw another sonic with 17x8 30mm offset and it filled up the wheel well so good. Originally I wanted 17x7.5 42mm offset but the website I viewed it on didn't fill up the wheel well barely at all. Then the next step were spacers...
What have you guys done to yours to get that clean look?

7.5 wide with 42mm offset (exactly what I have) will be about 10 mm less than flush. I wouldn't say it barely fills out the wells, it's just not super flush like 8's with 30 mm, which pushes the outside wall about half an inch further than what I have. And if you are substantially lower than stock, that will require modification to avoid tire damage from interference.

Than you want to be lowered.

Yeah my stock stance is no good. Aiming for a clean respectable look,
I wouldn't mind having to go sideways on speed bumps though >

One of the members (can't remember who at the moment) has Enkei EDR09s that are 17x8 with a 38mm offset. To me, they appear to be right in the offset sweet spot.

17x7.5 with 5mm spacers and Eibach pro kit will be very close. I'm gonna do 17x7.5 with 5mm spacers for now. Not sure if I want to sacrifice the ride quality for lowering springs yet but they DO look better!.

Alcoa...don't they make the SRT8 (at least for the JGC) wheels and few other nice factory wheels out there?

Too bad they dropped the ball on the styling of the Eco wheels...lol.

Alcoa didn't design most of the wheels they contract to build for OEMs. The OEM comes up with a design and Alcoa just makes it. Just like most any other tier 1 supplier.

They may not look good on a Cruze, But they look AWESOME on my Sonic RS!:banana::banana:
