Wanted to start a thread about deer hit. I'll start with today's

That's not as bad as it could be (still sucks!)..... In Maine a mouse would have had it's legs cut out and landed on the roof.

I am very impressed with it. I have it torn apart already and it looks like I'll have to make another mount for the headlight. I already have a light bucket due toy habit of collecting spare parts from scrap yards

Good thing you weren't in your sonic. A deer would have obliterated the front end.

I hit 3, one at 70mph, in a 95 grand prix. The hood was a little worse than yours, flattened down slightly conforming to the chassis underneath. The hood was pressed down about 20 inches across by about 7 inches. The driver's side headlamp assembly was also sunk down about an inch. There was a very small dent in the roof where its head must have impacted as it flipped over the car.

I was travelling about 85mph when I saw the deer. I hit the brakes, realized if I kept them in the bumper/hood would be so low as to allow it to go unimpeded through the windshield, so I slammed the gas immediately. I'm very glad I did that as I'm sure it kept the damage to a minimum. I hit 2 more small deer within a mile of that stretch inside of 2 weeks. Neither of those did any damage.

Got the tools to fix it yesterday
1) expand a foam
2) silicon
3) saw saw
4) duct tape
