Looks awesome, but like others, I want a leather one...with no emblem...but a quick google search, it looks like the air bag on the buick GS wheel is longer than the chevy airbag...maybe its just my imagination though.

Thanks, It all just pushes into the wheel and the switches have snaps that hold into the plastic.

Anyone tried to get the ZL1 wheel with the paddle shifters to work with the automatic Trans? Took the stock shifter apart and it's a two wore plug.

That's a question I've asked several times.
Did you take pics of the plug?
I've looked through a bunch of schematics and couldn't find it.
I'm hoping, like you, that we could just put an extension on that PoS and send it to the paddle shifters.

I am hoping to give this a try, the ZL-1 has a 16 pin connector on the clockspring (for manual and auto versions). I have no clue if the Camaro clockspring will fit, but the wheels appear to be of almost identical build.
If I wire it up wrong and set off my airbag when I change radio stations ill definately post pics.

For those who did this mod, when you re-attached the wheel controls to the clock spring were there any open pins available on the sonic clock spring?
Did the connectors on the camaro wheel work with the sonic ones?
I am hoping to wire in the paddles on the automatic version, but I dont want to have to get a new clockspring. Has anyone attempted this yet?

As I recall, only Stratton has done the swap, and since his Sonic has a manual transmission, I suspect he could not say.

Wow I can't believe how cheap stock parts are, even for limited edition cars. Nice VW steering wheels go for $350-$400 and limited edition ones go for $500+
I'd be fine with the leather SS wheel since they're only about $150. Although, did anyone ever get the part number and price for the leather zl1 wheel or the sonic RS wheel?

i ordered the SS steering wheel that goes in the 1LE. Suede with white stitching to match my white Sonic RS. Getting it installed this Monday morning. Will post pics... paid 190$ installed.

Anyone know how the Camaro and/or Sonic RS wheel will work with the Cruze? It seems like they would all be the same since those two are inter-changeable.
I would really love the leather version on my Cruze.
