Hey Bogus, you have a nice sonic man. GO 1.8! lol. I'll be honest, i went to buy a 1.4 when i bought my sonic. but at that time they were very rare to find. so i went with the 1.8. Love it! its faster than my previous car. thats all that matters to me. Yeah i would love to have had the 1.4, but im going to make this 1.8 worth my while. even if it does take time and cash to do it. everyone has their own prefrences when it comes to modifying stuff. myself. i like to take the dog and make it into a beast. more fun. anyone can mod a turbo car and make it fast. but to take a car that starts out decent and making it awsome is where the reward is. thats my thoughts on the matter. keep up the good work BOGUS. Im getting me a Magnaflow system too this spring. cant wait to get it put on!

Thanks for the compliments I love having a car that people can appreciate now. My last vehicle was a fugly 98 Ford Explorer. And very true it's very rewarding to create a beast out of an econobox. I'm really hoping I can buy my MagnaFlow before the end of this week.

Is half a pound lighter per wheel worth $150 total cost difference for a set of 4 wheels?

I'm comparing between the Sparco's and MSR's.

Would there be a noticeable performance difference?

every pound lost in unsprung weight is like 3 pounds sprung, I'd get the better wheels.

Those MSR's are sexy and the lightest I could find. I'll probably get those. Know of any lighter wheels?

Honestly I have not done a whole ton of research on wheels in a bit, it really depends on how much you're willing to spend. You could drop some serious coin on carbon fiber wheels but it would cost more than the car!
