I'm considering buying larger sized wheels, maybe 17's. has anyone had any problems with bigger wheels with stock suspension?

I've noticed in the specs for turning circle between the Sonics with factory 17 inch wheels, and the ones with 15 or 16 inch wheels are different. That leads me to believe there are differences in the steering rack and or steering stops to prevent interference issues at full steering lock. I know numerous forum members have installed 17 inch wheels with no reported fitment issues; but be aware there must be something in regards to the differing turning radius dimensions.

I had noticed that and that was one reason why I did not use a 235/45 but did use 225/45 when I moved from the oem 15" to the aftermarket 17" rims. I never noticed any problems when completing tight turns.

Rims are 7.5 and tires are 9 inches.
235 would have been almost 9.5 inches.

That was the idea. But I think I will stay with 225 as there is not a lot of room to go wider w/o playing w/ offsets, which I am not willing to do. And I am pretty sure I will lower at least the rear, once Pete gets some lowering coils in stock.

Yes, I did. And the tires. Which, after the Rodgers Chevy people put them on the RS, looked nearly new. Don't know what they did, but whatever they did sure worked.
