Jewel and JaSonic, sounds like some conflicting interest.......lol Jewel, with Trifecta in transparency mode, if you tune to stock there is no flash count change or evidence of tuning to your ECM. It would have to be sent to GM to figure out if anything had been done and by that point in time they are pushing to void your warranty if you did something or not...

Me either, I haven't owned a brand new vehicle that hasn't had a voided warranty....... Well, that could have possible had its warranty voided. We all know a voided Power Train Warranty doesn't void all the cars warranties. Just like an cat back warranty doesn't void your Power Train Warranty. You pick and choose and take the consequences for you actions if there are any.....

It is just I hear horror stories of people blowing engines and having to replace the engine and have no warranty. I am not ready for that.

Actually, they will find any way not to pay for the parts. I had a sales person tell me once that if I get my Cat-back I will void the warranty. I was like you are an idiot, but they will try.

Then I recommend not doing anything until the 5 year power train warranty has expired. You wont want to do any suspension work either! The change in pinion angle on the CV shafts could cause the Transmission to cause undue strain on the engine causing more problems than one person knows what to do with. Then the AC warranty would be voided. That would be unrecoverable!

It is a scary choice that you and your old man will have to decide on. You have a 5 year 500,000 mile power train warranty, when are you comfortable giving that up?!

First thing we are doing is the rims, then probably the exhaust (if we can agree on one), then I don't know where Jason wants to go from there. That will take up a good bit of money.

Sounds like a smooth entry into modding the car with low to zero impact on warranty! I'm running the 2.5" SLP cat back and love it, you can pretty much do anything you want with it since it is pieced together, can't beat that for 399 shipped. But, I would have a hard time not going for the 2.5" ZZP cat back, you can get a test pipe and cat back for 350 buck!

He is ready to void it now. I will know when I am ready. I still haven't voided it with my Camaro yet. The luck I have been having the last two years, I decided I wasn't ready. I am thinking of doing Long Tube Headers and a Tune this summer.

im thinking of going with the zzp dp, zzp mid, either stock resonator or aftetmarket resonator, and then 2.5 straight pipe the rest of the way, no mufflers
