3d carbon fit and finish?

I am new to the small car world i always drove trucks and suvs so now that im driving 25000 a year i bought a sonic. I love the car i really thought i'd hate it. Anyhow i'm looking at the 3d carbon body kit has anyone installed it and how is the quality. I helped install a duraflex kit a few years back and it sucked.

I have the Raised Spoiler of that kit and i love it. Great Quality Item. I cant say about the rest of the body kit as i dont have it yet. key word, yet. I plan on getting it eventually. But i can say the spoiler was very well put together. I had a local body shop paint it and install it for me.

Maybe Garry will chime in, he is one of the few with the full kit. I don't recall him saying anything bad about the quality or fit.

I just ordered that spoiler i paid 136 I didn't really shop around so i hope thats what they are going for. I saw it on your car in a earlier post and went to ebay and got it. I what to do wheels and the body kit next then lower it with springs for now

I acutally paid $240 for mine when i got it. I used the wrong site and got overcharged. but thats when they first came out so eh, whatever. its still a nice spoiler. Look forward to seeing your ride once you get that body kit put on with some nice wheels. One of these days i will get the body kit and some better looking rims lol. I just dont have alot of spare money floating around to just blow on my car whenever id like. i take care of the important things first then i play with my car. Slowly but surely i will get it where i want it opcorn:

Sounds good. Once i get my money back from the IRS for my tax return im planning on doing an custom exhaust system and installing a subwoofer to the stock head unit to give the stock system a Bass driver to give a fuller experience to the music being played thru it. Should be getting the money any time now. its been over a week since they had been filed.

I have the mylink radio and the GM add-on kicker sub so im good on audio

mines a 2012 so i dont have the MyLink System and the kicker add-on here is like outragously priced so im just gonna have this local audio shop wire in the 12" Polk Audio Subwoofer i have laying around into the stock system to help with the much needed bass addition! and wont cost me nearly as much as that kicker add-on would be. But everyone can afford different things. Myself, im gonna save big and just use what i already have. Just gonna have to keep the power turned down to that 12", as it can hit hard lol. probably too hard for this small sonic

They put the Kicker in for $200 when i bought it i probably should have shoped around a little but my brothers Cobalt had the gm add and it was good so i let them do it.

Thats cheap for that. I was quoted $500 just for the subwoofer unit and if i wanted the full setup that included the speakers also it would have been $800. I told them see yeah later. Wasnt putting that much into a subwoofer install.

My nephew and I installed mine with no problems, and I'm no body guy at all. After near a year with it, I have nothing bad at all to say bout it. Even with eibach lowering springs i hardly scrape at all.

Garry ~ thanks for the feedback. I plan on getting this kit one day myself and to hear someone else who bought it say he has had no problems with it and no problems with scrapeing, that makes me more confident about buying it when i get the chance. Im sure the original poster will agree!

Sonic 351, are you sure you ordered the same spoiler? The one on Ebay I see for $137 says it's a "flush mount" and also says it's part number xxx990 instead of 991. Did you get the part yet?

Im going to include the Estimate Sheet i got from the Shop which is what i ended up paying once it was done. I thought it was a fair price to which is why i let them do it. Plus they are known for high quality work and if anything were to come about that needed corrected they are very good at backing up their work and correcting things if needed.

As for Visibility, i will explain for now, but will get you a picture of how it looks in the car later... Its a slight blocking but nothing major. Mainly blocks the area where the third brake light is at. When brakes are pressed the light shines on the spoiler and likely not seen (I say likely as im never behind the car to tell since im always driving it lol)... Like i said, i will take a few photos of how it looks in the car looking out so you can see what i mean. but as for does it block your view out the rear to see behind you, no it doesnt. Nothing like the rear headrests did thats for sure.

Yeah, they do charge kinda high but the quality of work they do matches it though. But as i promised man here are the pictures of how the spoiler looks outside of the car and inside the car looking out the rear...

yes its the same and it was the same part number as the 3d carbon website. I see the listing is down the flush mount is for the hatchback i think
