Wheel alignment?

So i have a new Sonic Sedan. I put all most 700 miles on in the last week since i got it. Anyhow i noticed the first day that the steering wheel is a little to the right all the time and it pulls to the left. The dealer say that its not a warranty problem just normal wear. Our they high its only been a week since i got it. Other than that i love it and am looking at getting another for my wife.

There's a prior post about a similar issue on here, although I do not know what came of it. My car tracks straight as an arrow flies. I have, on straight stretches lasting miles, released the steering wheel and driven at least a mile before having to intervene. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'd go to another shop or dealer and get the tires rotated and realigned. At another dealership it should at least be free being as your miles are so low. They may cover it if you imply that you're thinking of ditching the other service department for theirs.

I was going to just have a local shop do it cause they were 45given vrs the 85 the dealer quotes me but they didnt have the updates for the 13s yet . It just seems like it should still be covered since its in the first week. I want to call the salesman i bought it from and see what he says. Cause he was a lot more helpfull than the service department.

They have a new set up they said the specs should be out this month. I called the salesman and He said he would make sure it got taken care of so ill wait a day or two to hear for the service department. If not then ill have the dealer my Dads body shop get there parts from do it.

This is ridiculous waiting for "specs" for alignment. There is only one thing that can be adjusted, front toe, that's it. It should be as close to zero as possible. I cant understand How can someone who does alignments for a living requires specs from a manufacturer for this car.

Tell them to zero the toe and any cross toe, and no one should charge over $40 to do a toe only adjustment

Waiting for specs is their way of blowing you off. Nothing has changed between '12 and '13 regarding alignment.

Under normal circumstances, alignment issues are covered under your Bumper to Bumper Warranty. If you would like for me to research this issue for you, I would be glad to. If so, please private message me your first and last name, the last 8 digits of your VIN, current mileage and the involved dealership.

My alignment is also out, can I find somewhere in writing about having the alignment converted under warranty?

Guys it's not the shop trying to blow you off with the 2013 specs not being loaded. A hunter alignment system requires the year/ make/model to even begin comping the car. There are work around for it just to check it but if you wanted to set it you would need specs and even all data and Mitchel don't have specs out. I had to wait to check mine and we own 5 shops.

Thats what i thought to most of the modern systems are to SMART to do a basic alignment.

9 times out of 10 I use a tape measure and do my own aliment....... its not to basic

11/10 times you can get a more repeatable measurement and more accurate measurement on toe and if you had the right tools everything else. than a hunter alignment machine. Its just trying to convince a tech that gets paid flat rate to take extra time to do this is rather difficult.

Its actually a fact that a 4 camera hunter will never produce the same measurements on the machine with the same car once the heads are removed. The system doesnt see in 3D.

Maintenance

All vehicles require periodic maintenance. Maintenance services, such as those detailed in the owner manual are the owner's expense. Vehicle lubrication, cleaning, or polishing are not covered. Failure of or damage to components requiring replacement or repair due to vehicle use, wear, exposure, or lack of maintenance is not covered.

Items such as:

- Audio System Cleaning
- Brake Pads/Linings
- Clutch Linings
- Coolants and Fluids
- Filters
- Keyless Entry (or other remote transmitter/receiver batteries)*
- Limited Slip Rear Axle Service
- Tire Rotation
- Wheel Alignment/Balance**
- Wiper Inserts

are covered up to the first maintenance inspection period outlined in the owner manual. Any replacement at the time of, or beyond the maintenance inspection period is considered maintenance, and is not covered as part of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty only covers components when replacement or repair of these components is the result of a defect in material or workmanship.

* Consumable battery covered up to 12 months only.

** Maintenance items after 7,500 miles.

I am going to try and get it in to the dealer this week seems I have a few issues.

Terrible squeak in the driver front seat
Throttle position sensor not reading correct
and the alignment

Hopefully it goes well.
