I got back from my trip today and my car battery was dead. Don't know how that happened nothing was left on. Also noticed my exhaust is quieter now. A lot quieter. Could my battery dying cause this?

Thanks Vanessa I was going to call my new local dealer today and ask them to take a look. I'm a little concerned of how long my car was sitting dead if some computer components may have been damaged.

Update: 3rd dead battery since last weekend. Possibly a bad cell, I tried to slow charge it but it wouldn't take. Then the tow driver noticed a lot of oil on the bottom of my engine. My cars at the dealer now, awaiting news.

Well I hope it doesnt turn into Customer pay work due to all the Electrical items you have been doing.

It shouldn't. Only electrical stuff I have done so far are Ultragauge, radar detector, ipod adapter, LED tails, and all 4 headlight bulbs. None if which stay on when the car is off. It seems it's just a bad battery but I'll see what they tell me when they call.

you sure your ultragauge or radar detector are turning off?

The power port for the detector shuts off when the car off and I open the driver door. And the UG is set to only come on when the engine is on, so I would assume. Plus the battery not taking a charge is a sign.
