I had this happen to my car.....I have a gps cord and the iPod cable hooked in and the dealership told me when you leave items plugged in its still drawing power even when the car is off...not sure how true that is but the same thing happened to me

When you turn the key off the power port is dead how can it draw power

That's what I thought too...they replaced my battery so it doesn't matter to me

Yeah it kills the power that's not possible. I have a USB adapter for that power port that has a little orange light when it's getting power that shuts off with the car.

I'm not as worried about my battery as I am about all the oil that was under my car.

Just spoke with the service rep. He said the leaking fluid was transmission fluid coming from the axle seal. They confirmed I did have a faulty battery which they replaced. But said that while my car is turned off something is still drawing 300 milliamps. He said it's not something factory and the only thing that's plugged in right now is my UG. Does the UG still draw power while not running?

What happens if you unplug the UG, does the 300ma draw go away?

He said when they unplug the UG it drops like 100+ milliamps, but something else is still drawing power. They think it's the alarm system on my car. But that was put on by the dealer I purchased through. I don't wanna pull it out and not have an alarm but it's always gonna be drawing power. :/

This is gonna be a problem for me. :/

I think it wasn't a problem before because of my commute, the alternator had time to recharge the battery. Now with a 2 mile commute it doesn't.
