Well not quite... I believe your dealer was talking about the cigarette lighter power port by the parking brake. That shuts off. I was talking about the OBD port that the UG plugs into under the steering console. That doesn't kill power apparently.

400ma isn't anything to a car battery, I don't think.
If a car battery can deliver 60AH then it could supply 400ma for 150 hours? I think I did that right..
Something seems really wrong with my math, cause that only gives you like 6 days.
Your math is good. Normal load should be < 75ma, so combine a 2 mile drive to work with over 5 times the normal load = premature failed battery. May want to use a current meter and pull fuses to determine what is stealing your power.

Silly automatic transmission
You know this auto is kind of a gray area. I love manual transmissions plain and simple, but this auto is nice for when I just want to cruise or if I'm driving while I'm tired. But when I wanna get on it I just pull the lever back and pick my gear. I miss having a clutch though.

Manual is also a safety thing for me, I feel so much more at ease driving in the snow or rain with stick. You always have that clutch just in case you do slip or slide, where as in auto you have to make that conscious decision to put it in neutral, where as I reach for clutch in a sticky situation out of natural habit. A case of personal preference like always haha
