Hmmm, Sonic and Scion are anagrams!

Nothing meant by it; it's just something amusing that occurred to me.

Still, the Chevy Sonic has the Scion xD pretty well beat.

That xD is hideous! But I do kinda like the new tC. It looks much less wimpy than the old one, and 180hp + 6-speed manual for under $18k is not a bad deal. I drove one at a Scion auto-x event and it was pretty fun; I bet with better tires it could be a really good little car.

The tC? It's not that big, though it did have amazing rear leg room. Easily twice as much legroom as I was expecting.

It got a little wider for sure. The stance is much more aggressive. Not sure about the other dimensions- I never paid much attention to the old tC (because it was kinda lame).

IM surprised you didnt think of it sooner MacGregor. Hell Im surprised you havent found out that the Sonic bun warmers you covet so badly can actually cook eggs right there on "DEM DERE SEATS MY BOY."

Oh I started a thread on Cruzetalk.com about est. 1/4 mile times.

It started because I went to go look at the Scion to get an up close look at it. Not as big as I thought and those stock rims are slick as hell.

So... the Scion runs the quarter (caranddriver.com) at 15.4. The car weighs in at over 3000 lbs and has 180hp/173tq.

The Sonic weighs in at 2850 (motortrend est and heaviest listed) and has 138hp/148tq. With a tune the Sonic will be at 170+hp/190+tq. I bet it runs like a 15.2 to a high 14.

So with just a tune were taking an est 8 tenths of a second off the car. WITH NO BOLT ONS!
