Here is an article about the new 2.0T Malibu with a bit more technical information than usual. If you read the 4th paragraph you'll notice low grade fuel gives a drop of 20hp in this engine.

My question is.. exactly how much hp do we lose in the 1.4T with low grade fuel??! I've noticed performance is significantly better with premium fuel and also I get about 2 mpg better all round.
Is it possible the 1.4T loses 10-20 hp with low grade fuel? If so this is very significant considering it lists 138 hp as max (I'm assuming that is with premium fuel).
I'm still curious if anyone has exact HP numbers they can verify or if maybe Chevy can respond with exact HP numbers?
This thread focuses on hp and NOT mileage.
If anyone has actually posted dyno numbers in a thread then I apologize as I must have missed them.
