Why did you pick a bt4 Cummins for a swap? Its a bread truck motor. Low rpm, not as reliable as other small diesels. The only thing it has going for it is high torque. You could easily fit a bt6 or a 6 cylinder Mercedes

plenty of adapter parts if you can find an engine. it's very reliable. 6bt=$. a mercedes engine in a 77 f100? thats downright ridiculous.

I'm putting a Mercedes diesel in a ranger. Its not that crazy. My dad was truck mechanic for 35 years. He saw more broken bt4s then any other diesel. I love Cummins and used to have a bt6 but Mercedes is where it's at. There om617 Mercedes is a million mile diesel. Now I do understand that engine for adapter plates
I'm not saying I totally dislike the bt4 and quite frankly its not my truck I could care less what you do. If you going though all the trouble of a swap why not do something no one / few people have done. Just my thoughts

I have my 2013 Sonic RS Manual that I drive for work, and I have a 2006 Porsche Boxster S as my other car (I just can't drive it to work, since my work requires that I drive a domestic vehicle to client sites). Funny thing is, whenever I mention what my other car is, they want to see it for some reason. Go figure....If you want to see some pictures of Stella (my Sonic RS) and Athena (my Boxster S), I've got pics in my garage. Check it out!

My other car is a 2003 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport.
It is a wonderful car. It drives great, and has not given me any problems. I added a thicker rear sway bar to have it rip around the corners. I also added some Hella rally lights so that I could participate in an all night Winter TSD rally. I really like the look of the lights on the car so I leave them on there permanently.
I got myself the sonic because I was able to determine that I could own the two cars for 150$ more each month than if I kept driving the Subaru (at 300’000kms). Now I hope to take it to more rallies and rallyCross and not worry about not having a Daily Driver on Monday morning if I break it. Should be a fun time.

at first when i read that, i thought it said 1956 f100. i thought you'd found the holy grail of f100s. still its an f100, pretty sweet.

Hands down the Chevelle. The Z06 will run circles around the Chevelle but speed is nothing compared to vintage nostalgic muscle. Plus the Chevelle is worth a hell of a lot more!
