I don't post here very often even though I've lurked for over a year, but what the hell?
Also, I will never understand the hostility aimed at Bogus. He's never posted anything overly hostile and yet he gets so much crap. And it really seems to only come from the older guys and I hate to use the cliche, but it really seems like it's jealousy. Except in the few cases where I can tell it's just another guy giving him a hard time because that's what guys do.

Exactly. The compliment comes from the jealousy.
But there's a difference between playful jabs between pals and just plain hate. But what I read from RS Turbo (Is there an underscore between RS and Turbo?) and ChrisJ is just plain ol' hate. And annoying to read...

Firstly, I don't think you understand what cliché means. Being jealous =/= cliché.
Secondly, calling someone jealous is more hostile than retard, even if you throw at the end.
Thirdly, retarded is a valid medical term. My wife is licensed speech therapist who works with severely mentally challenged public high school kids. One of her primary tasks is to assess how retarded her students are. It simply means slow or behind.
Also, I want to elaborate on my insult/compliment statement:
Bogus actually seems like a pretty cool kid. But am I gonna post on this forum:
"Hey Bogus, I think you are really neat, and a fun guy"?
NO. Nobody wants to hear that, Bogus included.
It's just like at work. I love my wife to death. She is my Angel. But do you think the guys at work want to hear that? Hell no. They're gonna hear about all the trivial shht she does that drives me crazy, and will have to read between the lines to figure out how much I love her.
Anyway, that's just the dance of society. Oh yeah, and you look like a damn hipster.

It was cliche because that's what most people imagine what kids hear from their moms. "Oh, they're just jealous of you!" Hence, cliche. I didn't use the wrong word.
Also, saying someone is jealous is far less hostile than calling someone retarded.
And I actually wasn't referring to you when bashing Bogus. Your responses seem like normal guy to guy talk. Plus, what guy would ever be hurt by someone who spiked his hair like you did in high school and had eyebrow rings?
