MZ0 is gonna kill my mpg. It's 6th gear is the exact same ratio as the MZ4's 5th gear.
Any options to go the opposite direction?

For the RS, yes. The MZ4 that comes on the lower trims not only has more overdrive in 6th, but a more favorable ratio between 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
For stock power levels the RS's trans is great for a sporty feel, but once tuned, 1st gear is almost useless IMO.
For LT/LTZ owners the answer to that same question is no.

No, there is not much part support for the M32 model trans. That doesn't mean you couldn't have custom gears cut, but lets face it, that would cost more than replacing the engine.:blankface:
Only cost efficient choice for squeaking a little more MPG would be slightly larger OD tires.

More later than sooner, LTG or LHU.
But I honestly get off on the idea of pushing a tiny 1.4L to 13's and while still having the capacity to see high 30's MPG on 91 octane.
Not many 13 second cars can do that.

Updated April numbers. Ran this last tank at 65mph and did MUCH better, 35.42 mpg this time.

Drove more gently than usual but not as much so as my E85 experiment. This run had more local trips, more cold starts, and harder accelerations but still kept top speeds close to posted limits, under 70, mostly under 65.
Tank was half E85 half 87, testing theory about E47 maybe being cheaper than 87 but better mileage than E85.
I get 29.94mpg.
So I can beat that on pure E85 just by driving even more sensibly, and I beat that regularly on pure 87. Not exactly "proof of concept" results! Well within the margin of error, of course, but in order to see a real reason to try and keep E47 in the tank I'd want to see some very noticeable results.

I had some free time at work last night so I made a functional, yet limited, preliminary draft. I've got 4 more night shifts to go and I imagine there will be a deployable solution in a few days. Some lists of conditions would be nice if somebody could make them up; award name conditions and whatever else can be thought of. I already have the filtering conditions in mind; trim, engine, tranny, fuel type (aki, ron, e85, diesel), fuel grade (octane), behavior (hwy, city, mix), and will add whatever anyone suggests. Something optional I may add is fuel unit cost, metric/imperial support, and cost per mi/km.

About half way through this last tank I got an onstar email notifying me that my tires were down to 34PSI. Topped them up to 40psi.... wonder how much I lost???
