I picked up 4mph on a stock tune!!!

my prior best speed @ the 1/8 mile was 68.89, this run was 69.76.
my prior best speed @ the 1/4 mile was 86.35, this run was 90.40.

3rd and 4th gear pull much harder and higher.

This calculator has been around for years. When the accurate data is used it gives a good ballpark.

If i get a tune update this week, ill take my rs to the local track friday. Its only an 1/8 mile though. Honestly, im afraid all the shifting ill be doing is going to make it slower than a regular sonic. Ill take out the abs fuse and make NLS my bitch though

No track close to me is open this weekend and the weather isn't exactly cooperating. Cold and rainy usually shuts them down.

I have taken it out on a county road and worked on launching and shifting. If I can get it to hook up I think the RS can pull off a nice 60' time though.

Going to run it at the strip this weekend, Hoping it will run ok for not having a tune. I also installed a boost gauge, so I will be able to monitor its characteristics during a run.

He pulled a mid 15 on the stock tune..... What times have you gotten?

I think once he's tuned, he may give us all a run for our money, so I agree with the encouragement for him to get the tune...... But until you can prove that you have ran faster than a 15.4 in your Sonic, I'd hold off on the barking, dog.

First time at the track tonight with my RS manual. Was kinda discouraged. Ive made many passes in other cars and tried a few different launches. Either wheel hopped or spun first gear and then second when i speed shifted. Mods tonight were Trifecta performance tune and ported intake but the check engine light came on just before i got there. Havent checked codes yet. Ran 26psi of tire pressure and made a best of 15.9 @ 85 mph with a 2.4 60'. Im a big guy over 300 lbs so that prob didnt help. Will have to make alot more power before getting my butt in the 14s
