But let's face it if it's a matter of depth, pens all day. The bruins have a great team but they're simply a team of grinders. They can't score on their third line or fourth line and have terrible discipline. 4 lines of scoring, fast players vs 4 lines of grinding.
sorry if that came out rude but if you want my honest opinion, i don't think the b's can hold their own. They are 0-3 against the pens this year, and played two sub par teams. The leafs of all teams gave them a run.... THE LEAFS..... then the rangers, i'm a wei bit of a rangers fan but come on; lundy fell apart and gave up some silly goals and his save % was way below normal all year, and given that he still managed to back pack the rangers into the playoffs. Who produced for the rangers this year? nash, callahan, gabby (pre trade) funny their thrid line had more goals in the playoffs than anything else...
the pens have scorers on EVERY line, look at the top goals leaders in the playoffs, crosby (even though he has a ******) in first, pascal dupuis in second and james neal in 4th. now in the top twenty, yes top twenty sgoal scorers in the playoffs, it's krejci and horton in 6th and 7th respectively.
huh, seems like an awfully productive offense doesn't it? defensively yes the pens may seem to be lacking, but think about how kris letang is 3rd in the league, in points, not just for defensemen, for all skaters.
all in all the pens are a better team through and through.
just sayin' you b's fans should probably watch some recaps of the pens playoffs run, you could learn a thing or two of how a finesse team operates.
