When I was a kid friends of ours had a old dump truck with 5 gallon buckets as seats. Looking back it probably was not the best idea

So I'm debating whether to go back go the track or not. Really the deciding factor for me is the wear and tear on the car. It is my daily driver and my only car and I still have over three years of payments left on it. I'm not sure if I can cut a better 60' or not with my eibach springs and mini footballs. They just aren't as effective as coil overs obviously. But my car rides waaaay nicer than a car on coil overs. I was trapping slower than everybody else, which makes me think with my tune cleaned up a bit I could run a better time, I really want 13s. My e85 tune was not much better than my 93 octane tune, I only trapped a tiny but faster with the drag radials on light steelies. And I went 14.32 on stock wheels/tires and 93, so I should be able to run better than 14.29 with e85, and drag radials... I'd like to get the hard charge tube, I think that would help a bit.... Just not sure if I'm ready to be done and just drive the car or if I want to beat on it some more. So to answer your question that is why my seats are not back in yet...... I also recently picked up an 07 Buell XB9SX, so I'm not sure which toy I want to spend my pennies on.... My sonic is never gonna run 11s, soooo there's that lol

Are you on the "blue pill tune", and stock clutch?
The red pill E85 tune makes more power than the 93, but the blue pill is about the same.
The hard tubes will help for sure, just don't go too big! I use 2" od pipes.
I would say it is worth at least one more track day IMO,

Yes I am stock clutch "blue" e85. But e85 and drag radials should be good for more than a .03 sec improvement in the quarter... I went 14.32 on 93 and stock wheels and tires.

The blue pill tune, and 93 tune are very close in power gains. The full E85 tune is where the power comes in.

thanks and that was my first drag race ever so i hope those are decent numbers lol. and ok i will also it is a manual.. I was using the No lift shift tune option the whole time.
ran the car again. cant break 15.6 with a 2.3 60'
but ive noticed the car is breaking up real bad on the top end. its driving me nuts cause i know there is so much more left in it. ive got to borrow a laptop and send a ticket to trifecta cuse this car should not be breaking up this badly

Is it an intermittent drop in power. like wahhhhhh:sadbanana:wwwahhhh:sadbanana:wwahhhhhhhhhhhh:sadbanana:ahhhh, does it go like a bat out of hell and then drop power for a split second and immediately pick back up?
If so check your plug gap and also inspect the coiled contactor in the plug boot. I had this issue and it turned out to be the little wire spring in 2 of the boots got ****ed at some point in time and were not contacting the tops of the plug very well. They were visible bunched up in the coil boot and a tap with a pick/screwdriver fixed them right up, aswell as fixing the problem.
Drop in filter, full tune, blow off valve.
It does it all the time from about 4k on up. I usually short shift into 4th cause it's so bad.
I won't be able to look at the gap for another 12 hours or so

Only got 3 runs in because of track cleanup every other race. First one turned out to be my best
I was up against my gfs V6 mustang. Haha I was right lane.
Once I had kinda dialed in the reaction times my last run as soon as I got set the tree started and I wasn't ready. So hopefully next time we go ill get more than 3 runs in 4 hrs.
