Walked a Prelude SI

Well coming home from primanti bros over the weekend some fat pimple ridden teen with his snipe attitude friend decided to ride up my ass for about 25 miles. Finally when we came to a stop light he pulls beside me and starts asking me if i "wanna run my fart can eco friendly fake turbo car". My wife just giggled as did I.

His car looked rather fast, HID's (20hp), rims, full bod kit, exhaust, underligting. The guy probly had 5 grand in the looks of this car. looked to be the newest Gen Prelude SI before they stopped making them. Anyways back to the story.

He asks me why my BOV sounds so stupid. (Forge Atom bov) and I reply "Im not sure, probly the extra mpg's i pull. I tell him I am pulling 23 pounds of boost and His friend remarks "ya tht thing looks so fast" as they both laugh.

So he says "lets go to the bridge" ( a local quarter mile bridge) "and start from a rolling 45. Mind you I thought his car was turboed so I was just doing this for fun.

As we aproach and it starts to rain he beeps his horn once, twice and bam we are off. I smoked him by 6 car lengths...... lol no competition. So we get to a turn around and he says " I thought you would'nt wanna race cause the rain". So i said lets do a launch from here back. Again one horn, two, and launch. I thought i was racing a pedal bike. What a loser.

He does sound quite lame, but you my friend are the loser for taking part in such idiocy.

Next time I hope you crash and take yourself out of the gene pool without doing harm to anyone else.

Not impressed with either of you. I mean, maybe the kid learned to keep his mouth shut and that maybe its not all about HIDs but at the same time, who cares?

Some people are so full of themselves haha ... It sucks that they feel the need to post online to feel better about there own shortcomings. But whatever that's why the internet is here to give geeks a voice and act tough and tell people they should get hurt.


The si only had 160 hp back in 2000 so it's prob about 140 now with about 110 at the wheels. The cars were a little over 3k lbs as well so it was no competition really.
But nice to let someone know they need to respect the bowtie

On a side note, here's a list of cars I've beaten personally, my mods are in my sig:
VW TDI Jetta (Red Pill)
Mazda Protege Turbo (made fun of my bov)(Blue Pill)
Mazda Protege5 (buddy) (Premium tune, stock exhaust)
Mazda RX-8 (Red Pill)
2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse (Red Pill)
Subaru WRX Hatch (from a role at about 25-30mph) (Blue Pill)
1990's Firebird V6 (Blue Pill)
And here's a list of vehicles I've lost to:
Nissan Sentra SE-R (This thing was FAST!) (Blue pill, stock exhaust, maybe just a basic premium tune?) Can't recall
2012 Roush Ford Mustang (Buddy) (Blue Pill, stock exhaust)
Multiple Subaru WRX STI's (Blue Pill)
Honda Civic Hatch (we tied, I was butthurt:p) (Red Pill)

I have no quarrel with a v6 Firebird. I owned a 91 myself. A Firebird, however, is no Trans Am.

There was one Trans Am that I know of with a v6 option, the 1989. The thing is that it was a turbocharged v6 (the same from the Grand National) and would run 13 second quarters stock.

P.S. Grand National is my dream car. My Grandpa had 2 of them. He sold them both, then bought a corvette, and a truck hahaha.

What year model of WRX did you out run? The 08+ are right behind the STi and you lost to every STi you have raced........

How enlightened.

Burning thru a couple or few gears is terriblly dangerous thou. I mean you have to keep the car straight, pay attention to RPM, and look at the surroundings that were already visible from the stage area.

Let alone if no one else is on the road. Probably why test and tune nights at the strip have such high casualty rates :rolls eyes:


Sure street racing is usually dumb. But your response is unnecessary.

Newer model Ludes were not Si. The 4th gen lude was the last year to go with the si badge which was a 2.3l non vtec. With a 2.2 vtec motor and some add-ons I was eating most of the V6 cars around.

Sounds like the dumb kid didn't know how to drive. All show no go.

If his car was auto I can see why you got 6 car lengths on him.....

And why would that be? Some how with a stick the car is far faster at 0-100?

On a side note, the only Honda car engine I have respect for is the J series V6.

Just the fact the car is changing gears at odd ball times in auto... sorry racing an auto is stupid. Your missing crucial shift points when a car is doing it on its own.

H series motors were and is still a solid strong motor, if built right. Not to mention the plethora of parts for it.
