How many Sonics in your neighborhood?

Just had a funny experience and it made me think about how many Sonics I've seen so far in my neighborhood. Before buying the car, I only remember seeing one black hatch on the street. Recently saw a silver hatch in the parking lot of my office building. Today though, on the way back from my lunch walk, I had to do a double take, because there was a black Sonic hatch sitting right next to my orange one I kept walking and lo and behold, a black RS was right in front of me - looking gorgeous and clean, still with dealer plates, and from the same dealership I got my Sonic at, no less! I have to say, the black RS looks pretty sharp with the red details and those bigger wheels.

Oh and btw, I yet have to see a Sonic sedan.

How many Sonics do you see in your neck of the woods?

In my neighborhood, none. In a 6 mile radius, at least 3 forum members.

Not that many but there are a few more now than there were in 2012 when I got mine. Back then there were none. Now I've got 1 nearby and that's it.

Hmmm well there's this blue sonic ls hatch I see on the other side of the road almost everyday on my drive to work haha. Besides that I've noticed a orange hatch, blue sedan, and a red sedan that I've seen roaming my area recently. So that's four haha. I always keep an eye out to notice other sonics! The most I've seen in a day have been six. Out of all of those just one black rs. Glad to see more Houstonians choosing the Sonic.

It's kind of heart warming to see the few plucky Sonics in a sea of generic Corollas and Camrys. Makes me feel like a rebel

Few and far between. My red RS is one of the only Sonics that I have seen, that includes both hatchbacks and sedans. The few I have seen are either rentals or fleet vehicles.

Maybe next year people will open their eyes and give in to the Sonic. But yeah haha whenever I see a Sonic I go woooo a sonic! Then I see if its a regular or turbo. Most are regular. Also most are...females. I was trying to "race" this one white sonic but they backed off haha. I just wanted to see who makes it to the light first

I live in a small town and so far, it's the one I've seen. At my work, I was the only one the first year, but now there's four. I guess I started a trend.

I've seen a few around, one person I work with has one. I'm the only one who actually mods the car and notices other Sonic's I feel like...the other people just drive completely stock and it's just a car to them.

There're 3 other Sonics in my Lil town. 2 are orange hatch backs like mine, ones a turbo LTZ and an NA LT. Then there's a 1.8 Lt sedan.

Scenario: I'm pumping gas, guy drives past me and parks. Three of guys buds pile out and gawk at my car on the way in. I finish fueling and have to walk right past his open passenger window, so I duck my head a bit, smile, make eye contact and say: nice car! Then am pretty much repelled by the look of WTF the guy stares back at me. I kinda wanted to tell him something awful.

Saw him a couple weeks later, he was parked in a diagonal spot and I had to stop at the stoplight in plain view and watched him crane his head to gawk at Kyrie.

I've gradually seen more and more over the past year, but if you define "in my neighborhood" as "see regularly in the area" I'd have to think... white one at the Advance, Victory red one (Sedan) at the quarry, Crystal red one at the Sushi One, blue one passing thru Manheim in the mornings, silver one seen from time to time at the red rose common/rt 30 crossing, and the blue one someone has at the Renaissance Festival. So six, only one of which is a sedan.

I also rarely see sedans, but I think that's more because I notice hatchbacks more and think to check to see if they are Sonics. My only hope of spotting a Sedan is if I see the front end coming towards me and happen to notice the "motorcycle" headlights.

I don't think I have ever seen a turbo badge in the wild, I've seen quite a few LT and LTZ and I always think "what were you thinking?". Seen a couple debadged Sonics, they might have been Turbos. Only ever talked to one Sonic owner, he was getting gas and I was over getting E85... that was fun.
