How many Sonics in your neighborhood?

Saw a white hatch near my apartment building this morning!

Swordsmith, why do you think people remove the "turbo" badge? I understand removing your dealership's badge, but the turbo? If anything, I want to flaunt it

I don't have a turbo but if I did I'd still debadge it, way cleaner

I dont think they remove just the turbo badge, but if they are taking off the Sonic logo and the LT badge I wouldn't be surprised if the turbo one came off as well.

I've gradually seen more and more over the past year, but if you define "in my neighborhood" as "see regularly in the area" I'd have to think... white one at the Advance, Victory red one (Sedan) at the quarry, Crystal red one at the Sushi One, blue one passing thru Manheim in the mornings, silver one seen from time to time at the red rose common/rt 30 crossing, and the blue one someone has at the Renaissance Festival. So six, only one of which is a sedan.

I also rarely see sedans, but I think that's more because I notice hatchbacks more and think to check to see if they are Sonics. My only hope of spotting a Sedan is if I see the front end coming towards me and happen to notice the "motorcycle" headlights.

I don't think I have ever seen a turbo badge in the wild, I've seen quite a few LT and LTZ and I always think "what were you thinking?". Seen a couple debadged Sonics, they might have been Turbos. Only ever talked to one Sonic owner, he was getting gas and I was over getting E85... that was fun.

Anyway yesterday I saw a new black LS Sonic with dealer paper plates on my way to work and it was a lady of course haha I saw two more on the highway. A inferno hatch and a white sedan.

I do the same thing, I always notice decked out LTZ's and then notice they are 1.8 autos.

Before i bought my Sonic. Only saw one black Sedan Sonic. Talked to the person about theres, how they liked it and such. Went out and bought mine. Brother followed suit and bought one himself.

Since, I now have seen Several Orange Hatchs, Cyber Grey Hatch, Black Hatch, Several Red Hatchs, 3 other White sedans other than mine, 3 other Silver Sedans other than my brothers, Several Red Sedans, couple White hatchs, and several Blue Topaz Sedans... all with a range of drivers from young, to middle aged, to older. Male and female alike. After everyone saw my sonic and what i did to mine, thats when the town got Sonic Fever and i started seeing them all over the place. Very Popular car in my town.... opcorn:

I see a few every day, but only saw a RS once and that was in red. I live in a big city "Toronto", I do see more Tesla than Sonic's though. Are they that affordable?

No they are not that affordable at around $60K and that is with the $7,500 government credit.

A Tesla would be my next car for sure. Those things are amazing. I wonder if in a few years' time they'll come up with a compact, affordable model.

A somewhat unrelated question, but: how are you prepping your Sonic for the winter? I wonder if I can get away with the stock tires this year, since the car is so new...

there's an orange one and a blue one in my parking lot at work, they all try to park next to my black RS. Haven't even seen an RS for sale around here versus on the road yet!

So true! Though for what they cost, it SHOULD be free to charge
I really do think that this is our future. I think that, a few years from now, we'll have these charging stations everywhere, the battery charges will last for hundreds of miles, and more and more people will be buying electric. And now with Tesla we know that electric doesn't have to mean boring or slow!
