Just take care of them, I'm not sure if Enkei is subject to it, but I see many machined finish wheels looking rough and pitted after a while. I personally don't like the machined aspect, and wanted something a little darker anyway. I don't think hyper silver would work well on red.
I just had snows mounted on my 15's, but I don't ever want to take the Enkeis off. Waiting for the first snowfall...
Yeah, but any wheel can get rough and pitted after the years. Very easy to fix if it does happen, but I've never had a problem. My 99' Audi had machined silver wheels and never had any signs of wear, besides a bit of curb rash - and I've used them for years in all kinds of Michigan and Canadian weather
. Plus the benefit to sliver or hyper finish is that if we do get curb rash, hardly noticeable vs black or colored wheels
I hear ya man, the Enkei's are so sexy. I live in Bellingham WA and also travel up into the BC, Canada mountains throughout the winter. I don't plan to take them off. I have all season tires on them and I've rocked the same setup on my Audi for years with no issue. I never use steelies, I love showing the things off year round. Although it should be interesting to have my all season tires on a FWD car, they were never a problem before because my Audi was AWD.
I also wash my car weekly or bi-weekly. So that's probably why I never had much of an issue with salt ruining wheels or car. Keep the clear coat clean, and in all honestly we don't get much snow in the actual city here in Vancouver/Bellingham, just rain.
