It will be just another GM cookie cutter car. and of course, the sticker will go up by $ 2k.

What Sonic would benefit from immediately is replacement of the funky instrument panel with analog ones, adding an engine temperature gauge (and turbo boost gauge where applicable), and providing a decent center console with a storage bin/armrest.

Don't know if this is true or authentic. If it is, no thanks, that's ugly. The front end lost its edge and sportiness. It just looks like the rest of vanilla small cars available.

I doubt it, the Chinese market is very conservative in their design (Buick is #1 there)... and large enough they can have their own theme.

I love the front end on the Sonic, it's the selling point...Chevy needs to emphasize that in the next iteration.

I'd read GM delayed the next Gen...but never said why...hopefully to better the design..

To be honest, this design will never reach outside of China. The rear and front are the trademarks of this vehicle and as such should be more emphasized.

To whomever said we need more gauges, I completely agree with you on that one. Would be nice to have something similar to what the Camaro has for their gauge pod with the inclusion of a boost gauge. The 2016's should also come with the 1.6t from the euro spec vehicles and just make an ss model.

It's 2 much of a change to be the Sonic .. I don't think they would drastically change the look that's selling the car..

I don't hate the grille, but the headlights are a big no.

I don't mind the look of that hatch actually. The first generation is of course better. But this design grows on me the longer I look at it. Could be worse? I don't know.

I think the present Sonic design is perfect the way it is. To put it bluntly, the pics of the Chinese version look like crap and I hope they don't change the car to look like that. Why fix what ain't broken?
