hmmmm the one thing which made our cars unique...not there.
This is a chinese market one though...can't say for sure it's USA version... but separate headlights and perhaps sheetmetal isn't economical either.....so...............

there may yet be hope. I'm really thinking the Chinese version will be the one the US adopts, with a slightly different grill.

However, what if the next Spark takes the spot of the sporty "pocket rocket"?

This has potential, if the headlights remain like they are (very close to our's)

the attachment is a lowered, 18" version... I can see potential..

That looks disgusting!! If the RS looked like that - i'd have bought a Suzuki Swift or a Toyota Yarris instead.


With the different region's car's - Look at the differences between a Chevy Sonic and a Holden Barina - the only difference i can see - other than badges - is the front grille - there is no space to put the Chevy Badge - so the bottom/top of the grille is smoothe without the indentations. I doubt they would alter a car significantly at all for different regions - only minor alterations like the badge to keep the local dealership's happy.

I bet all the lights are in the exact same locations too, and they only changed the outside plastic trim and background.

Yes, the dash looks like they kept the LCD part and just made a new surround and tach, and the tach icons seem scattershot all over the face.... Not too well thought out.

That, along with the exterior changes may be what we're getting. All this is just minor sheet metal changes and one interior change...hardly an engineering effort.

I sure hope this isn't the US market version... it's becoming too much like a Corolla...no flavor!

I compared the placement of the idiot/warning lights to ours. It's all the same, ours are scattered in the exact same spots. They just made it look slightly different.

The new model reminds me of the old aveo. It looks plain and very similar to the aveo.

I highly doubt this is what we'll get.

The Chinese market in general has been getting unique models for some time now, and the Sonic is due for a totally new model in 2016. There would be no reason to go this direction, and it would be a really bad move for Chevy to keep the interior exactly the same when all of their competitors have upgraded to new models since the Sonic released.

I prefer the solid lens headlight idea. Sure the ones we have now look alright, but I have to imagine that they are more expensive to produce and probably cost a little in the fuel economy area. GM spends months chasing fractions of a MPG sometimes.
