Chevy Trax: a crossover Sonic?

Lol the seat in that one pic looks like it has giant polka dot pattern.
The console looks promising.

Ahhhhh I see it now, I looked at the picture forever trying to see polka dots lol. I think it is a watermark they put on the pic. I think if the console sits properly on our floor and works with the cup holders ok I would be in for one.

Just to see how one would look all decked out with a Blacked out theme and Ghosted Stripes I thru a picture of a Trax into photoshop and came up with this....
I , too, see the allure of a compact AWD/manual SUV. Last I checked, the manual Juke only comes in FWD, though; AWD models come with a CVT.

I think it's funny they call the Trax a compact SUV when it's basically a lifted AWD hatchback, but similar Subarus retain the car designation. I would think the XV Crosstrek would compete with the AWD Trax at least as much as the Juke, and 4 cylinder Subarus have always been offered with manual transmissions.

I like the interior of the Trax, especially the instrument cluster. Maybe they will change the 2016 Sonic instrument cluster to look like that.

They combined a Juke and an Element and put a Fiat engine in it.

Yeah, but who will produce a tune for it? And I like the looks of the Trax over that thing.

Meh, I think the Trax looks like a shrunken Equinox; decent looking, but outdated. Different strokes and all that. As for the tune, I don't know. Does it need a tune? I wouldn't be buying one for performance. I don't think most of their target market would be looking for a tune either. I would wager the same for the Trax. I'm frankly (pleasantly) surprised the Renegade will be offered with a manual at all.

Yea I think it does. It looks like the current gen Equinox, which debuted in 2009. It straddles that era of Chevy styling which is currently being ushered out and replaced with the styling found on the Impala. It is just my opinion after all. But a large amount of buyers in this cute-ute segment want something with daring, funky styling like the Soul, Renegade, and Juke. I don't know if GM will capture them.
As for the 60 Buick... it's a classic car, of course it looks dated. But the difference is that Buick isn't trying to sell a 60 Buick as a new car.

My wife has the build encore. So far we love it. I figured it would be a bit sluggish compared to the sonic as well because its the same size engine in a bigger heavier vehicle but hers is faster. Her auto trans is set up much better then my lt sonic. then again i get 10+ mpg over her. I'm gonna steal her wheels one of these days they will look nice on my sonic.
