New RS Owner From Toledo, OH

My name is Dan. I live in Toledo, OH. I wanted to put this thread in the Intro section, but I can't. Maybe after I reach 10 posts a moderator can move it there?

I just picked up a 2013 RS. I have been looking at Sonics for a long time and finally pulled the trigger (sort of nudged by my brother who just picked up a Cruze with the same engine and "RS" package).

I found the RS on Autotrader for a great price. $15,450 with 16,000 miles. The problem was, it was about 5 hours away. So my wife and I packed up our 8 month old son and headed to West Virginia for the weekend.

I traded in my 2006 PT Cruiser Turbo (stage 1 ATX) to get this. I'm so glad I did and wonder why I waited. Here are some pictures.

I am also finishing up an 8 year old build of a 1931 Model A Ford (always been a more of a Ford guy)

This is my 3rd bright red car and I'm so glad to be back in one. I have owned a Ford ZX2 and a Mazda Miata that were both red before this.

Thanks, its a really fun car! The Ford has been a love hate relationship since its taken 8 years. Just last week the lights were turned on for the first time though. Progress helps spark the motivation.

Here are the mods I will likely do to the car:
Trifecta Full Tune
Intake - will look into brand
Short Shifter
Possibly Exhaust

I like the quiet exhaust now since I have a decent highway cruise everyday and I would like it to be lower, but don't want to sacrifice ride quality. We will see what happens.

Still trying to get my 10! Jealous of all the RS owners out there- none were available when we purchased our Turbo. In fact, we got the ONLY turbo IN TOWN at the time. CRAZY! am I right?! Now, there are a few more. But ours is way more awesome, cuz we got it FIRST!!! lol.

Thats cool to have the first turbo in town. I looked at every dealer in the area within about 30 miles and I couldn't find one RS. I found one in Michigan about 100 miles away, but it was expensive and Blue (it was nice, but I wanted red). Thats when I expanded the search on Autotrader to 200 miles and found this one in West Virginia. Well worth the trip. And it wasn't just about the car, we did some sight seeing as well.
