Black Door Handle Options

I've combed through this board looking for more options on door handles.

I tried to plastidip my set black but even with the clear coat they tend to peel around the edges where hands constantly grip them, so I am trying to find a set of black door handles to install.

I've searched around the web but most don't have reviews. Has anyone ordered a quality set of black door handles or even painted another set?

Those are cool enough that you should reconsider, they aren't OEM replacements, they are machined powder coated aluminum with the Sonic logo machined in them! Yeah kinda spendy but nice!

Yea I agree they are definitely classy, but I would feel weird spending $100 more for door handles than my fog light kit lol

The link says the door panel doesn't need to be removed. I haven't looked but maybe its like the Saturns from the 90's?

If your only really looking to cover the chrome on the handle might I suggest "Black out" tape I did it the week I bought my car and haven't had to replace it since, no discoloring, no rips, wrinkles nada. its been over 2 yrs

seems easy'ish...it's still a tight fit in that corner, but not under an inner sheet...

I used plastidip on my rear bumper months ago and its still sticking and looks great.

Can you tell me more about the black out tape? I was considering plastidipping the bottom of my rear bumper black so to see how it looked beforehand I used...wait for it...black electric tape. Worked well but it was not wide enough and one can see the tape edges.

I used it on both my handles and all 4 of the chrome window trims, I added a link from another forum with pics of what it looks like when done(all be its an audi) but you see the process and the wicked result)

i bought my sill plates from here, fast shipping excellent product and approved by GM

maybe they would be willing to do a group by, somebody should ask them to be a vendor on the site.....

update:

So Brian got back to me from ABD,

says they usually don't spend the money to advertise on forums, but still asked who to contact, I told him to contact sonic or sonic mike once they join, hopefully they join and become a vendor.

We also said they have some new products coming out, once GM approves them. Color matched interior and 3rd brake light covers :banana:

He did say that they would be willing to do a group buy on there items with us as well with deep discounts.

This is a cheaper option, all the chrome is still there but the price seems easier to swallow and its a supported vendor. With the handles off the vehicle you can paint and repaint until you are satisfied.
