I pulled the snorkel out, it's the first thing I've done to a car besides an oil change ever after driving gm's for 22 years. Got my hands dirty and it looks like an easy thing to replace if I need to go back to stock, I won't. I went Lisa Simpson on it when I pulled it out.

DId you take the bumper off? Just left the stock air box opening at the end of the snorkel?

If the only purpose of the snorkel is sound this my be my first mod.

I did not need to take the bumper off, four screws in the passenger wheel well when the wheels are cranked all the way to the left was enough room for me. I pulled the stock air box and after ensuring the snorkel wasn't connected by messing around inside the wheel well I pulled it up through the engine bay and out. The stock air box now sits open and sucks in air from the engine compartment. I don't know if others are cutting the saxophone off the plastic and reattaching it to the SAB or if they let it sit open as I have done.

I hope that was a technical enough description, I am far from tech savvy when it comes to cars.

I took one of the snorkel but not of the removal process. Definitely didn't get a pic of me playing the snorkel phone.

No your description is good. If you reattach the plastic would that extend into wheel well and make it not suck in air from the engine bay?

I have not even take out the white air/absorbing pad in my stock box... need to do that.

Repainted the tires, added a little color. The tire paint works good, but eventually fades to a muted white color...TYRE MARQUE&reg | Markal

The great folks at DDM sent me 3' of that edging they use on the heat shield... Just didn't look right with no edging.

Finally got her finished!!! I'll never do business with carid ever tho. My shop used them to get the hood and the sent the wrong hood then a damaged one then it was on back order.
