Most of you know my main complaint.
I'm all for the antispam but what about the new member spam.
Such as ten threads to get ten post. Least that's what new members think they have to do. My thought is to limit them to the one read this first thread and only allow them to post their until they get their 10 post.
This allows members to unsubscribe and not have to see those useless post.
Also would allow those members to take advantage of the introduction forum appropriately with pics.
I love the soty that's awesome a a different banner is cool too.

Maybe purge inactive or missing vendors? Like Pedders or Crate Engine Depot? Unless they are still paying to advertise.

CED just posted a week ago offering the GM performance suspension kit for cost, they are here while not as active as other vendors I believe he is still paying attention to the forum.

In the spirit of those that rallied around TheFallen, I think a tickler should be put out to see what kind of donations could be taken to create (or hire it out) some bad A$$ visuals for this website. It's been said many a time, and I couldn't agree more, that this forum is running at WOT where other forums can hardly idle without a sputter due to an overwhelming SPAM/douche quotient. So, why not make a home page that lets all know upon entering that this is not your typical forum with a little wow factor and get away from the standard forum template?

the forum initially had a home page, but there some problem with the host and it was bypassed. I'll ask Mike to look into it.

Well there seems to be a huge boom in new members which is awesome IMO! But......when I click the "New Posts" tab, 85% of them are the intro threads with nonsense to get their 10 posts. While I certainly prefer this over the nasty spam we had a couple months back, I feel there should be a single thread that they are only allow to post in till they reach 10. This would keep that crap to a single thread which we can easily ignore, if desired, rather than having to weed everything out in-between.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one utterly annoyed by the wasted threads.
Like I said I'm thankful for anti spam but this is pretty bad too. Specially when you get the people that make a separate thread for all 10 post.

Would there be interest in having a craigslist finds thread? People would post up deals on parts or cars listed for sale on craigslist. It seems to be pretty successful in other forums that I'm a member of (listing mainly cars/parts that relate to that specific forum i.e. E30's) . I don't know how it would go over here. Maybe have in general discussion? Just a thought. I know I've found a couple goodies with a quick search of my local CL, but can't pull the trigger (wife :blankface

It's not model specific to that forum at times, but makes for good conversation.
With a quick search I was able to find new ltz 17" wheels in black at a good price ( wife and the fact that I paid for wheel/fog light pckg prevents me from picking them up) and a few totaled Cruzes that can vultured for parts
Would like to pass on the info to others that are in position/looking to pick stuff up
IE: chevy sonic cruze 17" wheels
Haggled a little with seller and got price down before getting denied by the wife :blankface:

I second the new member posts being consolidated in some way. Two full pages of new member spam before finding any useful threads is a bit.... silly.
