Oil line recall/tsb

So last week I blew the oil line that runs from the turbo to the bottom of the oil filter. I was told that there is a recall on this line for the 2012. I never received any notification and other Sonic owners I've spoke to weren't aware of it either. So I thought I would give everyone a heads up before something similar happens to others.

Mine blew out from the back side behind the heat shield. So there really was no may visible way to tell. I do know my original line didn't have the fancy little insulation wrapped around it like the new one.

Good information to know: TSB, possibly; recall, not likely. As owners/consumers, we never get to know all of the potential pitfalls that may plague our vehicles. The manufacturer's like to keep that element of surprise to themselves. Patsy/Chevy, anyone have a TSB # for this. My 2012 sedan has had no reported recalls. Maybe we can feel the line behind the shield (when cool) and notice something?

they don't have a tsb or recall on it. When the po299 gets set they replace that line and the turbo both on the early cruzes and sonics the line was updated in late 2012

I was hoping someonewho knew more details would chime in. The service manager referred to it as a recall when I first brought it in. Probably just for a lack of better term.
