Your car alone is more innovative than everything on the "SHOW" offering and MpFab's Sonic would "decimate all" in the "GO" and that is without the unlimited $$$$$$$ that GM has available.....Pretty disappointing indeed....

I say we all should pitch in for a SEMA sonic build for 2015, cause yeah looking at all of the sonics GM makes is saddening. The sonics I see are better looking and better performing. I mean come on, Toyota made an 800hp camery for the show.

we need to get in contact with that young engineer guy I saw in videos who works for GM, who was on the development team.
It'd be awesome for GM to sponsor a couple of "Fan Based Sonics" and this website is the perfect outlet for that.

The day we see GM make a 2.0t sonic is when hell freezes over. The day GM makes a 2.0t sonic awd sport hatch/sedan with a strong 6spd manual transmission is the day when hell freezes over 13 times over on a Friday the 13th.

They could move the gas tank and exhaust and throw in the ats drive tran. I'd pay low 30s for that.

Low 30's for a sonic with an ATS drivetrain is actually pretty reasonable, maybe a bit modest. If that ever does happen, GM should take the spark and move it into the sonic's spot since it's a better fit for the eco hatch to compete with the fit and yaris. The sonic should become a jetta/golf GTI fighter. The platform would be very capable of doing this but GM doesn't want to open up their mind to the possibilities.

Low 30s with that hp and our weight would put u in wrx/focus st range the wrx pulls a few more ponies but it's awful which makes it heavy. The focus has less hp and is fwd so a rwd would be the obvious choice.

Yeah I was pretty poe'd on that one. I was going to get my brakes redone when the kit came out. I'm at 45k miles and need new brakes but want a set of performance brakes.
Oh yeah. I completely agree with you on that one. The drive shaft tunnel is already there and I don't think it would be that hard to convert to RWD or even AWD on these cars. Hell the Chevy trax actually has a 1.4t with an AWD m32 transmission as an option and the interior is the exact same as our cars. Even the wheel base and width is with in a few tenths of an inch of each other. Unfortunately It's probably only going to be available in Europe for the 1.4t/AWD m32 trans. But again more power means a higher displacement motor and a stronger transmission.
