Didn't someone on here a few months back have something close to 180k on their 2012 model? They were doing road sales and racking up about 1500 miles a week.

That's some serious miles. The member hasn't been active for quite some time though. I'd love to hear how his Sonic is holding up.

2012 LT 1.8 6A sedan with 80500 miles, replaced the end links, thermostat housing and intake tube. I drive about 650 miles a week, not counting weekends.

2012 1.4l 6m hatch 80,250 miles.

Minor mods are a K&N panel filter and muffler delete. Not really mods though didn't change anything but sound.

Just last week had the intake manifold and valve cover replaced.
Up until then no issues and still love my sonic.

I am glad to see these cars (1.8 and 1.4) are getting miles. I thought my 2012 1.8 6AT sedan had high miles at 48k until I read this post. Guess Im OK afterall.

Repairs to OEM parts:
Transmission would not stay in third, replaced under warranty
Water pump leak, replaced myself before the recall

I also have a current recurring stutter at high boost which I cannot track down. Replaced 02 sensor and MAF to no avail... so I can't say those parts needed replacement. Problem is very likely not OEM parts... but until I find out what it is I can't say for sure.

Swordsmith, have you looked at the coilpack at all? That sounds like what I was experiencing, I know you know what you're doing under the hood but I thought I'd mention it just in case!

figure out the left rear rattle. really a great little car.

Update to my numbers -- rolled over 65K today. Update to my (previously no) issues: PCV diaphragm rupture, drove valve cover R&R.

70K miles as of April 14th. No additional problems, but I still have not solved the high boost stutter, and an old problem is back; when I run the AC and it is warm out, the engine often stalls when dropping to idle. Turn the AC off and this problem vanishes, turn it back on once at idle, no problems. Happens rarely when running defrost, I think the outside temperature has to be a contributing factor.

I'm at 460 miles and my spare tire well is a lake. (Dried it out the first time to make sure it wasn't me leaving the hatch cracked open) anyways now I'm set up to take her in thursday to be inspected and prodded like some sick animal..

Being in the top ten makes me sad. 2012 lt 1.4l 6m. Had a cat removed and muffler replaced with a straight pipe. Also has an injen intake. Stock tires lasted til about 70k(I replaced them at 80k but they were bald and would deflate almost weekly). Front pads were replaced twice, rotors once and rear shoes need to be replaced now. At 86k my check engine light came on for "turbo over boost/under boost" and the dealer replaced the turbo, wastegate and down pipe under warranty. I have 89,xxx right now. I can't post pictures on here but I'll post one on the sonic Facebook group tomorrow and see if anyone has more miles than me.

Forgot to mention the blower fan squeaks when on 1 or 2. Annoying as all hell

Shifter button just started sticking this week. Have to fiddle with it to pop out so I can remove the ignition key.
