Hatchback rear door handles

Not sure if there's already a thread but, I've tried Meguiar's back to black restorer on my door handles and it works wonderfully but had a bit of trouble with it running off onto the paint as it rains (which it does often), does anyone know of a black restorer that won't run?

HAHAHA Can't believe I wrote crunchy. what I get for multi- tasking. I'm telling my friend about the pb trick as I'm typing it and I wrote what I said. But yes, the oil in the peanut butter really helps to give it a really good finish.

Meguiar's sells the "Ultimate Black Trim Sponges", I use them and they work fantastically as well.

Well wouldn't a bottle of peanut oil maybe be a little less messy? Plus you wouldn't have the birds and squirrels flocking around your car!

So one application of peanut butter will make them glossy/ nice finish? What about after car washes will it still be there?
