what did you do to your Sonic today?

You can get a huge number of different plates here, but I painted mine because they don't offer all-black. You're not really supposed to, but whatever. I see it as doing the same as putting a black frame around it.



Here's what my plates looked like before paint.

Yeah, the black with white border was much to classes for what it says

Painted the gauge cluster bezel today.

How did you do that?

First pry off the top piece:

Then pry loose the bottom piece:

Then remove the screw at the top and 2 screws at the bottom:

Then pry the cluster from the dash. Remove the black bezel around the DIC:

Finally pry the instrument bezel from the cluster:

got my 17s and spent 3 hours learning how to detail it. Next I'll be getting a spoiler lip & Magnaflow exhaust. I lowered it also and added Halo lights.

I live in south Dakota, we get quite a bit could be from a few inches up to 8 feet sometimes. I don't think I wanna help the plows haha.

I think at 8ft being lowered a inch and a half is the least of your problems.

I have been lowered for 2 winters now also and have yet to have a issue.

I was also more worried about my driveway like I was saying more than anything. There is a slanted curb the city won't let you remove from it and the car can barely get over it at an angle coming out of it. I doubt I'd give up my garage during the winter with all the crappy weather and hail. If I didn't have the curb it might not be so bad. I wouldn't have a problem most places but just parking at home, possibly driving in rapid city too with all the dips I avoid quite a few roads because they're to much for a stock height even.

I live in Alaska I just lowered mine this past winter; and although I haven't had TOO much snow I don't think there'll be a issue.
