VG Shark Fin Doesn't Fit

Just read on the product page that it doesn't fit the 2015 model. Doh. Mods, you can close/delete this thread.


Just got my VG Shark Fin from BNR, any reports of it not fitting on the 2015 RS Hatch?? I've looked at some pictures from older installations and the antenna base seems to be a little smaller.

My shark fin doesn't seem to fit over the antenna base at all, unless I'm missing something obvious.

I saw a new sonic....didn't have the short stubby antenna...just a small pod. Yours is the same?

mine looks like an RC car I had hoped to get the fin and noticed the same thing about it not fitting.

Phew, I read the title and got worried about mine. I installed mine on a 2012 just now, so they changed the design on the 2015. That sucks

to be honest I never noticed the antenna until I saw the shark fin for sale .. now that I've noticed I can't have it.. I want it.

The pod is just a bit fatter than the older ones.

I unscrewed my antenna to install the sharkfin, and forgot to put it back on. My reception seems about the same, and I mostly use BT/AUX anyways, so I might just leave it off...

I'll try that on mine. I live in fairly flat land but in a rural area so it may hurt mine a bit. I'll probably just use pandora anyways

You may want to plug the screw hole though. Idk how the exposed metal would handle the rain

Unfortunately the opposite side from you I'm down in the bootheel (extreme southeast ) Not much of a car culture here .. just mud trucks.. even the jeep scene (my second vehicle) is lacking here.

Only sonics I see are obvious commuter cars salesmen sent me a pic after I picked mine up of a lowered black hatch like mine with a checkered flag pattern on the side (surprisingly not overly tacky) Lol

When I bought mine he told me one of his coworkers has a modded one with a tune that they can't detect (I am actually going to try and meet up with the guy and see what's really going on with his and see if he's a member or wants to join up on here)
