Rear/passenger wiper replacement

According to all the books at stores, and my nearby GM dealership, the only place to get a rear wiper or passenger side wiper, is through them, for almost triple the cost of any other stores.. does anybody know any information on this? My rear wiper isn't doing so hot and I'd like options. Thank you.

For the rear blade:
Buy a cheap blade take the rubber insert out and cut it to length. There are two metal strips that actually hold the rubber insert in place, you should be able to pull on side out of place without issue. The other side you will most likely have to squeeze together with a pair of pliers to get it out. Reuse the metal strips and just replace the blade.

The passenger side should be in the books and readily available at any decent auto parts store that handles Trico blades.

Trico actually makes the OE blades.

TRICO "Rear Blade" Exact Fit 12-E Fits

I have found a replacement for the rear OEM wiper blade on the Chevy Sonic Hatchback.

It is a little longer at 12" but it will work.

TRICO Exact Fit "Rear Blade" Model Number: 12-E

The 12 is the inches and the "E" is for the "Snap-Claw" type wiper arm that the Sonic uses for the rear wiper blade.

The 12-E Rear Wiper Blade looks identical to the OEM Rear Wiper Blade only it's a little longer. The longer blade will not hit the top of the rear window.

I've had mine for several months and it has worked flawlessly.

Yep, the Trico Exact Fit 12-E fits very well. Might even be better than OEM (since it's 12" instead of 10.6" OEM).

Thank you so much I signed up just to thank you. I bought a rear wiper on ebay. Broke it trying to install.clearpart? Somewhere in jersey. Searched this and found they sold trico at advanced and went there instead of chevy.so happy and love the extra coverage

If you can't find a Trico 12E, an Anco AR-12E or an ACDelco 8-212E will work.

I bought the 10-E as Amazon said that was the size. Then joined here and saw post about the 12-E. Bought right away and was worth throwing away the 10 after just a week. The extra view at the top is an easy and significant safety improvement.
