Can I clear a 215 tire on the stock 15" wheels?

What height difference is their on a 205-50 vs 205-60 tire? I like the options of high performance summer tires better with the 50 size option how bad will it throw off my speedo?

Looking to get a set of high performance tires on my current wheels and then buy a set of steelies for the winter driving and have 2 sets instead of compromising with a single set like I see most do.

you can look at the tire diameter and revs per mile under the tire specs on tirerack...this is can get you and idea. There is are also some tire size calculators around ..ie Tire size calculator

Thanks for the links. Anyone know if I can get a 215 tire on the stock 15" wheels? Thinking about going with a 205-50 tire in a high performance summer variant and get a set of steelies and winter tires as well

Never mind, sold on a set of Dunlop Durreza DZ102 tires in a 205-55-15 size.

Never mind, sold on a set of Dunlop Durreza DZ102 tires in a 205-55-15 size.

Those are only 23.9" tall - or 1" shorter than your OE 195/65/15 Hankook tires.

A 205/60/15 is 24.7 and a 215/60/15 is 25.2 - either would be better fit than the tiny 205/55/15's.
