So I decided to plasti dip my rims blaze blue, and painted my lugs to match the brakes. I like it but I want to tie it in with the car better, any ideas?

Emblems? A blue chevy badge with the all black background where you did your evo style dip(I'm guessing) would look nice... If you wnet farther I would say do the inside of the chevy badge blue and the chrome around it red... Imo would look awesome

Personal opinion, start over.

Not my cup of tea but I will give you credit for modifying verses simply buying. To many people today buy off the shelf parts and say they have a custom car or truck.

The problem is, you've got two accent colors right next to eachother on a relatively clean build. Blue against Red on a Black and White car. No Bueno.

Here's my suggestion:

Either paint the wheels in a dark grey color: Anthracite, Gunmetal, Titanium

Or, paint them black, and put a red stripe around the outer lip

Or, paint the center spokes white, and the outer edge black <-this one I'm not to sure about though.


If you really like the blue, you can't have the red right next to it. You'd need to go back to black calipers and lugs.


EDIT: One other idea.

Paint the rims black, and use the blue as the outer-lip stripe. Then, get some Lamin-X in blue, and tint your headlights. The brake calipers would also need to go blue, or go home.

That plasti-dip... I'm just not sure now, since it's not exactly something you can do a gloss coat over...

I love the blue, I think I'm going to do my headlight rings blue and leave them as is until I can buy actual rims. And when I buy actual rims I'm tied between like black, or rims where the outer edge is chrome and the spokes are red or something.
