Changing the Rear Wiper

I know this may sound absolutely idiotic, but I cannot figure out how to remove the rear wiper blade to put a new one on. It doesn't seem to lift off the glass enough and removing the little cap on the arm doesn't add any more range.

Has anyone done this? How?

I've searched the forums, but all I can find is a thread about people that have completely deleted theirs. That's really awesome, however, I need mine.

Did you try removing the arm from the car completely and then replacing it?

I managed to get mine off, it almost seems like you're going to break it but it will be ok. The manual tells you how to take it off, since I don't remember.

The wiper is only purchaseable through gm you should just have the dealership do it.

Heh. I actually bought a blade recommended on this very forum. It doesn't fit. Lol. So, no. I'll be on the lookout. If I find one that works, I'll post it.

I'm such and idiot. I broke a tab on the rear window wiper trying to change it a few months back. Still couldn't get the thing out. Should have been a no-brainer to look in the owner's manual :sadbanana:
