Finally figured out that either I have a massive leak somewhere in the intake/pcv system causing me to dump oil or my piston rings are finally shot. These past 2 weeks have just been ridiculous between the turbo dying and the car consuming oil like crazy. Early 2012 model woes.

PCV is my bet.

I traded for a 2004 Silverado 2500hd. 4wd 6.0 gasser with extended cab low miles. Had 65k when I got it

Took 4 hours installing a Superior brand Leather Steering Wheel skin/cover on my LT.

This was Superior Superskin Steering Wheel cover size C .. The Size C was great for the steering wheel thickness the total circumference left me with bunched up extra cover toward the end. I folded it and sewed it around the bottom spoke.

Feels great and was worth it but if I had to do it again I'd pay the extra money for the Wheel Skins brand with a smaller circumference/diameter.

Nice little wash. My dealership offers free lifetime car washes when you purchase from them. Does anybody have a deal like that and do you actually take them up on that or do you prefer to wash them yourself?

It's actually not the PCV line or the valve cover rupture disc. I actually traced it back to being bad valves and the 2nd and 4th cylinder piston rings. Actually excited to pull the motor and get a new crate 1.4T in there and rebuild the old one as a spare and maybe see about getting the head ported and polished, stronger valve springs with some forged steel pistons made and see if I can keep that 9.5:1 compression ratio.

Hit 10K miles on my 2015 LS! That's in seven months of driving. I'll be putting about 400 miles per week for the fall/spring going to/from school (I'm an old dog learning new tricks) so the miles will pile up pretty fast. So far so good--zero problems--wish me luck for the next 10K!

Yup, I take 'em up on it when I take it in for freebie oil changes on my 2015 LS (the first couple of years anyway). The only thing is they don't spray UNDER the car the way my local car wash does. (They do a nice job with the wheelwells tho.) That's fine in the summer but here in Maine I'd like to have that grime and salt cleaned out from under the car. So I just get out the hose when I get home.
