Retro fit hedlights?

Okay so I'm new to retro fitting headlights. First question is are retro fits where you put projectors in the existing housing or is it change the housing completely. Second is are there kits you can buy for our cars that make it easier or is it all custom one off. Third question is where is the best place to buy parts and what should I get? I would like a demon eye that I can change the colour on. Any and all help is appreciated. If you know part numbers and where to get them or even what parts to use that would be awesome. Thanks

Using different housings or installing projectors in existing ones are both considered retrofits. There are projector retrofit kits out there that make the job considerable less painful than they used to be, but they aren't vehicle specific so some custom work will still be required.

If you are building them yourself HIDplanet is TRS's forum. They can at times be snobby on there but amazing info resource!

That isn't an easy question to answer. Are you building this yourself or having someone else do it? Have you built retrofits in the past? Do you want an easy install or more difficult but better performance. The demon eyes are the easiest part by purchasing whatever you want in LEDs.

I probably would do it my self. I have never done it before but I'll take a challenge. Is there a nice medium between easy and performance. How difficult would they get?

Check out this kit. It is a great all around projector kit. It'll mount in the stock bulb hole. You can easily add LEDs to this as well.

Check out this kit. It is a great all around projector kit. It'll mount in the stock bulb hole. You can easily add LEDs to this as well.

We need 2 kits right? One for high beams and one for low?

You only really need the one for low. I hardly ever use my highs. It's all up to you for preference though

This kit is Bi-xenon so it'll do both low/high all in 1 projector.
