What should I put my money in next?

Hey there everyone!

So I'm wondering what my next mod should be for my car. I have an intake and heatshield and I bought a Diablo InTune 2 from someone that'll be here Saturday. I have $150 left to spend which is just enough for a BNR tune. Will that be the best thing to do next with my budget or should I do something else first? Thanks!

Doesnt matter, do them when you have an hour or so free. You have to pull the intake to port it, super easy to do the bypass the bypass mod with it out.

I'm not too sure. I've read that they work fine on the stock tune so it should be all good. Just pull of the manifold. Here's a hint the thing on top of the manifold, I don't know what it's called but it kind of looks like a filter of sorts. Remove that. It makes taking off the manifold so much easier. Or you could just port the manifold by unbolting it and tilting it back, you could still bypass it like that pretty easy.

Yes, we're talking about porting the intake runners, the 1.4T has a lip inside them (probably emissions related). Just cut it out and smooth it is all you need to do. A fully ported intake manifol wouldnt be much good, the turbo on the 1.4T runs out of steam with minor bolt ons. If you know how to port intake manifolds then probably easy enough for you to do it, otherwise just do the runners and then tune+intake+dp/exhaust (injectors if you need) and call it. Intercooler kit and LS7 coil upgrade is about all thats left, then you're in bigger turbo land = $$$$

Yep, can do that too if you really dont want to pull it out. Personally, I'd pull it out as it only takes a few more minutes and then you can easily get your Dremel/whatever in to port the runners. Up to you when doing it though, both ways accomplish the same thing!
