2014 LT Auto - 64,954 miles. She's done well so far. I haven't tuned her or anything. Everything is still stock. I do have an exhaust leak that's been pretty noisy since about 56K miles. I'm not too worried about getting it fixed because when you let off the gas at slow speeds you can hear it 'pop/gurgle' quietly. I just ordered front brakes and rotors a few minutes ago because my rotors are warped. Everything else has been routine; oil changes and tires. Will hopefully be getting new sparkplugs soon, as well as a Trifecta tune.

I found oil on the bottom of the pan during a routine oil change. I made an appointment at the dealer and they determined it was leaking. Not sure how they fixed it, if it was with a pre formed gasket or just RTV silicone.

Pretty sure it's just the silicone. Mine has had to be done twice.

2013 LT 1.8 sedan 5 speed. Just went over 100,000 in just under 4 years. Only problem was a cracked air intake hose. Just checked plugs, they look like new. Going to do timing belt soon. Good little DD car. I got 380,000 out of my last DD, a Geo Metro.

2013 Sonic Hatch LT 1.8 Auto. No Mods all stock. As of this morning I'm at 119,211 on the odo. Bought it with 51 thousand on it in February of 2015. Only problem I have had with it so far is some carbon buildup on the throttle body, a weird case of the odo not showing up after I had changed a new battery, and just yesterday my heater stopped getting hot. Other than that no problems.

Try resetting DIC. If that doesn't work, it may need to be reprogrammed.

I have a 2013 1.4 Hatch with 122,000 miles. I have had it in and out of the shop a few times with the following repairs:

Upper radiator hose replaced
PCV replaced
Valve Cover gasket replaced (was seeping oil)
3 sets of end links (new set are metal and have a lifetime warranty)
1 set of front brake pads and rotors
New coil pack (dealership thinks that the faulty valve cover gasket led to oil getting into spark plugs and foiling one of them)
3 sets of tires (factory set were worn prematurely due to something being bent in the front end during transportation to the dealership - GM paid for a new set of Goodyears!)
Radiator fan doesn't turn on anymore, so I'll be looking into that soon.

Getting windshield replaced this week from a crack caused by a POTHOLE!
Had a deer take off my back bumper so had quite a bit of body work done as a result of that.

All in all, this is a good little car. Just wish I could've paid it off before some of these issues started piling up.

2012 LT Sedan, 121k:

Been happy with the car for the last 13 months. Before that not so much. Got a letter from GM about the air duct I replaced myself two years ago in the mail this week. Brought the paperwork into the dealer where I bought and they need a receipt. From two years ago. Really? Looks like I am still out that $72.00 as all I have is a picture of the cracked duct and what I wrote in my check book ledger.

2014 auto LT 1.4, 46100 some mods, and if people would just stop hitting me, there would be a lot less trips to the body shop... other than that this car is still a lot of fun to drive...

You reset the DIC by holding down the small button in the tach right? And Im thinking it could be a thermostat issue as well.

High mileage peeps (100k+): curious to know what those who've achieved big miles have (on average) spent out of pocket for repairs?

I know the Sonic isn't perfect, curious to know what I face in the coming years as I intend to keep "Pete" to well over 100k
