DDMworks Intercooler Diverter 1.4L Turbo

Easy install and helps top end

Installed in under an hour with a few hand tools. The diverted looks like a million bucks and it's effective as well. You can feel the extra pull after 5000 rpms. I live in Texas in 110 degree weather so I feel this was a much needed upgrade. Keep the goodies coming DDMworks!

Did you remove the front bumper or just pull everything out of the bottom and go in from there? I keep holding off for fogs so I only have to pull the bumper once.

I tried to go from just the bottom but it wouldn't work. The bumper removal is really straight forward I spent more time trying to figure out another way than to just do it. The only part you need to be careful on is the snaps where it meets the fenders. Also there is PLENTY of room for bigger intercoolers and piping in the future. I'd also recommend the shifter bushings to everyone who makes an order.

So far, no, we are loading up the new version of HPTuners though and hoping to have the sensors to record post temps at the sensor right after the intercooler.

We were able to get some probes in the intake tube now to measure the pre and post intercooler data. Going out this week to log a bunch of temps under different conditions.

Bump. Getting ready to order a tune and a few other goodies. Any pre/post temp numbers? I would like to add the diverter to the list.

Hey guise... the most I've pretty much done this far is remove the tail light trim, to install the diverter (diy link 404) do you have to remove the front bumper and if so what exactly would I need to do so? Also looks like you remove the bottom piece under that install diverter then reinstall amirite? If so is it just gonna be a couple bolts? Thank u.

Has anybody seen any actual improvements in power or responsiveness or anything at all out of the diverter? I just can't imagine it making any difference. I removed my lower grill entirely and moved by license plate, and I think that made more of a difference than the diverter could ever make. I'm on a budget, and I have absolutely no intention of buying anything that is just for looks. (I don't even plan on doing my wheels.)

I'm curious as well. I don't feel like dropping $800 for an intercooler kit. but if this can give a small change then it could be worth it.

Installed this last night, went out at 3am and made 5 back to back 0-80 mph pulls on the main road. It was still 88* out and dry. I didn't notice anywhere near the heatsoak I normally would. There was some H soak but it was much less.
Today I went to my dads to help pull the engine out of his VW. 60 mile trip all highway. Seemed a little more responsive after warm up than normal, although not a lot it was noticeable. In conjunction with the diverter, I also installed the blue charge pipes, because they look better than black, and they're colder than the red ones.
