The last 3 runs that we did were with the air box and the intake manifold combined, but those results are not posted in this thread. The photo of the car on the dyno was taken during these last runs.

From 5100-5800 the stock manifold drops off a lot. This one keeps pulling.
What's more relevant is the rpm band. If you look at dynos from stock vs stock ported manifold, sure the ported manifold pulls more in the 5400-6000 range but the hp band moves up 300-400 rpm + loses a ton of low end torque. And look at how many forum members raved about that mod.
This manifold, the max hp band looks less than 200 rpm greater than stock and makes more power everywhere, which is really impressive.
I mean these numbers are coming from a 1.4L stock motor. My bet is this manifold would really enjoy a tuned motor or larger compressor/turbo.

That rpm drop is from stock turbo + tune, its no fault of the manifold. Do yall perform flow tests?

Excellent progress Jeff, I'm impressed with the speed you've brought this to market considering how long the community has been talking about it. Thanks for pioneering this.
You've proven it flows where it needs to, now just need to reduce the other bottlenecks. Looking forward to seeing what some tuning and injectors do for those numbers.

We do run CFD simulations on products, but we do not have a flow bench at our facility currently.
Thanks! We are capable of bringing products to market fairly fast, and thats only possible because we literally build all components in house.
We are excited to see the performance post tuning. When we combined the air box with the manifold we picked up another few HP and torque. The impressive aspect was the ability to hold higher torque for a greater duration over the RPM range.

Ready to buy. Just got the PCV mod parts kit and BNR TB spacer. If I install these now, will I be able to re-use them with your intake?
Do I do my repairs this weekend to get the car on the road? Or order this intake now and do the job once next weekend?
Thoughts anyone?

Yes, you can reuse the components. However, the TB spacer would not be necessary, as we provide a NPT port on the bottom of the manifold by the throttle body.

Thank you. I'm going to pull the intake manifold and confirm the PCV is the issue. Hoping it's nothing worse. Oil dust film everywhere makes me think that's it. Plus I just at 45k. Send to about when they go out.
Any chance of powder coating? I've got BNRs coil cover in blue and the bracket that holds the LS7 coils in blue. Be cool to have it match. I like matchy matchy as my wife says..

I'm mostly curious what the flow difference is between stock manifold + head vs aftermarket + head.
The stocker has the tabs/steps at the wet intake port for atomization + tq, but starve at high rpm. Smaller runners and moving injectors back a bit should've had a similar effect. I mean there are injector ports farther back in the stock cast, as if another OEM head design/interchange originally was in the works. But even Opel's h/o Adam S motor and all other LUV/LUJ manifolds came with the same casting. Confusing :blankface:

I was taking a look at your build thread and noticed you posted these dyno results of the ported manifold v. stock manifold. What other mods did you have on the vehicle? I was actually expecting better results than what you have.

This was a stock baseline on a Sonic 1.4t automatic with a Trifecta tune, on a friend's car, EPYON96R on the forum. He wanted a starting point and was working with Trifecta for E85 tuning.
...I'm intersted in a before/after dyno with your new intake and the BNR gtx turbo with all my mods. My best guess is Turbo is currently around 200-210 whp. I currently use new Camaro V6's to determine power:weight ratios. A safer method is needed.

Just received my new manifold in the mail. Fast shipping, excellent build quality. Racer x fab also sent email updates during this process to let me know a few other fittings will be shipped. Good experience overall, recommended.
Have to track down some noise issues on Turbo to get her 100% before new mods + busy with work, so it'll be a little while before install.

Make sure to take pictures while installing the manifold in your car, so we might have some instructions when we decide to do the same.
I know there are instructions on the website of Racerx, but it seems a very hard job to do....especially that mods on the brake booster line etc...!!!

I'm definitely going to wait a little while before purchasing this manifold and grab this at the same time as the turbo upgrade. I basically just dumped a few grand into the sonic and still need to dump in another 2500 into another vehicle so I can park the sonic for a little while to keep miles off.
